Dr. Brandon,
I am a freelance journalist working on a piece about the Caddo pottery theft of 2006. I am mysteriously drawn to the subject, and wasn't impressed with the stories done on it in the past. I think it deserves a little more attention, and a deeper look. For example, how much would the pots be worth? Have there been any leads on the theft in the past year? Is anyone even looking into it still?
I would love your thoughts on the matter, if you have any time this week to talk either by phone or in person. I am driving back up from south Louisiana on Wednesday and would like to meet Thursday if possible.
I am pitching this story to the Tri-Lakes Edition, which doesn't cover the area of south Arkansas, but I am tying this into a story on Caddo Gap area.
I am a recent contributing writing to that newspaper, having been a staff writer with several other Arkansas newspapers in the past 10 years.
