A Self Guided Virtual Tour of Van Winkle's Mill.To begin the tour, click on part of the map below. You will be transported to that portion of the site, where you can see a close-up view of the virtual reconstruction of the building and read more about its function.   In order to view the videos, you will need to install the DIVX (mpeg-4) codec for your computer.   This virtual tour of Van Winkle's Mill was created by Edward Tennant. Through a combination of historic photographs, excavation data, and topographic maps (prior to and after DOT incursions on the site) a representation of the site as it existed during occupation in the late 1800s was created. Tennant's work was made possible through an independent grant to showcase applications of ArcGIS' 3D capabilities.
